Adventure activities - Kayak immersion The kayak immersion is an activity suitable for all ages and is intended as a first contact with kayaking, designed for people who want to get started in the world of kayaking and whitewater. It is not necessary to have previous knowledge.

This kayaking experience lasts two hours, in which your guide will teach you a series of techniques and manoeuvres with the kayak, as well as the material used in this type of adventure, which will help and guide you when deciding whether you want to take a step further into the incredible world of whitewater. So, the kayak immersion is a previous step to be able to face a kayak course of longer duration with the guarantee that the activity motivates us and we like it.

Our expert guides will introduce you to the materials used in whitewater kayaking, you will learn the basic techniques and finally you will make a descent of about three kilometres where you will put into practice everything you have learnt during the theory.

If you think kayaking is a sport you might enjoy, this is definitely the experience for you!

The kayak immersion starts at the RocRoi activity centre, where we will give you all the material and we will give you the first explanations of how the course will flow. Afterwards, and already equipped, you will start the practical part of the activity where you will learn, already in the water, which are the basic manoeuvres of the kayak and how to read the river. Finally, you’ll finish the day with a three-kilometre descent where you’ll begin to experience the magical sensations of kayaking on a whitewater river like La Noguera Pallaresa.

Included in the price:
• Qualified instructors (Catalan, Spanish, French and English speakers)
• Parking space.
• Public liability insurance (seguro RC)
• Equipment (wetsuit, windproof jacket, helmet, neoprene socks, kayak, paddle, life jacket, GoPro helmet mount)
• Shuttle service from the activity centre to the activity center.

Difficulty of the activity:
• Beginner level. For people from 8 years old.
• Grade I (calm waters)

What to bring:
• Swimsuit.
• Sunglasses with strap.
• Sunscreen.
• Towel.
• Thermal T-shirt (not compulsory)

Who can perform this activity:
• People with swimming skills.
• People in good physical condition and health.
• Minimum age (depending on the river flow): 8 years old (always with an adult)
• Minimum age unaccompanied: 15 years old (the adult responsible of the kid must be in our activity center)
